Member of Parliament(MP) for Juaboso Constituency, Hon. Mintah Akandoh has debunked claims that he was drawing current from Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful when she sat on his laps during the dissolution of the 7th Parliament.
According to Ranking Member on Health Committee, he felt like a piece of wood sitting on his lap.
“I am sure Hon. Ursula Owusu was rather enjoying me whilst she sat on my lap since I wasn’t feeling anything for her,” he said jokingly.
He furthered that Ursula nearly broke his home because he is a married man and his wife has even threatened to sue her for human rights and domestic abuse.
It all started when the Members of Parliament elected from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) occupied seats on the majority side in parliament ahead of the dissolution of the 7th parliament, the NDC MPs were seen taking the names of the NPP MPs, who initially occupied that side, off the desks.
For about 20 minutes Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery and the Defense Minister, Dominic Nitiwul were left trying to convince the minority to move back to their seats.
However, after the NDC MPs refused to move, the NPP had to take their seats on the minority side but some of the NPP MPs disagree which resulted in chaos.
