The Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) has called on business owners to ensure the continuous development of their marketing staff to keep up with the changing trends and demands of the market.

The CIMG President, Dr. Daniel Kasser-Tee, made this appeal at the first graduation ceremony of the institute, where he congratulated the new marketing professionals who had completed their courses.

Dr. Kasser-Tee stressed the importance of customer-centricity in business, saying that marketing was the key to creating and delivering value to customers for the long-term benefit of businesses.

He advised the graduands to base their marketing decisions on rigorous research and analysis of the marketing environment and the customer needs, rather than on assumptions or intuition.

He also challenged business leaders to support their marketing personnel with the necessary resources and training to enable them to perform their roles effectively and efficiently.

He said that by investing in the professional development of their marketing staff, business owners would be able to enhance their customer satisfaction and loyalty, as well as their competitive advantage and profitability.

He concluded by urging the graduands to uphold the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in their marketing practice, and to contribute to the growth and development of the marketing profession in Ghana.
