The Aseda 92.3FM Science and Maths Quiz Competition in Obuasi continues to heat up! After five schools secured their spots in the next round on Day 1, ten more are gearing up for battle today, May 28th.
Day 2 Matchups Announced!
Here’s a look at the exciting contests scheduled for today:
- Match 1: Kwabrafoso M/A JHS vs. Obuasi SDA JHS
- Match 2: Awurade Basa JHS vs. Mmamiriwa JHS
- Match 3: Obuasi Islamic Educational Complex vs. Tutuka M/A JHS
- Match 4: St. Joseph R/C JHS vs. Kwabenakwa JHS
- Match 5: Bogobiri M/A JHS vs. New Nsuta JHS
These schools will put their science and math knowledge to the test, aiming to impress and advance to the next stage.
The Aseda 92.3FM Science and Maths Quiz Competition aims to spark a passion for science and mathematics among students in Obuasi, fostering a love for these crucial subjects.
Day one saw five schools triumph in the first round of the competition.The opening round featured intense battles between the competing schools. Anyinam Methodist B JHS edged out Ayease M/A JHS by a score of 41-26, while Boete JHS B defeated KTS Experimental School by a narrower 9-point margin.
Three schools also secured automatic wins due to their opponents’ absence. Obuasi Anglican JHS, Asonkore M/A JHS, and Anyinam Methodist A JHS all advanced after Diawuoso JHS, Independence B JHS, and Kwabrafoso M/A JHS respectively failed to show up.
