Germany is in talks with an English youngster, Felix Nmecha over switching his international allegiance to Germany, with the player’s brother already making the national change.
Meanwhile, England national team coach, Gareth Southgate could have another Jamal Musiala case on his hands, with the DFB looking to secure the exciting English talent.
According to Sport Bild via @iMiaSanMia claim the German board is in discussions with Felix Nmecha, brother of Lukas, to switch his international allegiance to Germany.
The German board is hoping Felix Nmecha will represent Germany at the under-21 level in March given becoming a senior national star.
The 21-year-old wants to play for Germany and pursue a similar career to his brother.
The former Manchester City young midfielder plied his trade at Manchester City before securing a move to Wolfsburg in 2021.
Just like Lukas his brother, who also played for Man City before eventually moving to Wolfsburg.
However, Felix Nmecha has appeared for England and Germany at the youth level, playing for the Three Lions’ under-16, 18, and 19 teams.
The Wolfsburg midfielder also represented Germany at the under-18 level.
Meanwhile, as for his brother Lukas, he represented England at under-16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21 levels before turning out for the German under-21s.
From there, Felix’s brother made his full Germany debut against Liechtenstein in 2021.
German team coach, Hansi Flick will be hoping he can call upon Felix’s services as well heading into the 2022 World Cup.
Meanwhile, Gareth Southgate appears to be in a losing battle over Felix, with the 51-year-old in line to lose another English starlet to the Germans.
