Ghanaian renowned Reggae star Rocky Dawuni has been nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Global Album category in its 64th edition.

Dawuni became the first Ghanaian to be nominated for the Grammys back in 2015 with his sixth studio album “Branches of the Same Tree”.

Rocky Dawuni was nominated together with African music icon Angelique Kidjo, Femi Kuti and Made Kuti as well as Afrobeat superstar, Wizkid.

The Tema-born Reggae icon grabbed the nomination with his 2020 EP, the “Voice of BunBon, Volume 1”.

Known for his eloquence, cultural diplomacy and passionate activism, Rocky earned the stature as humanitarian activist and was recently designated a UN Environment Goodwill Ambassador for Africa.
