In a shocking incident in the Central Region’s Awutu Papaase District, Samuel Koblah Narh, the district pastor of the Church of Pentecost, was shot in his home during an armed robbery. The attackers fled with his Toyota RAV4 and mobile phones.
According to police investigations, the robbers had been lurking outside Pastor Narh’s home, waiting for an opportunity to strike. Their chance came when the pastor returned home from an evening service. As his son opened the main gate, the robbers forced their way in, immediately opening fire to intimidate the family while demanding the keys to the pastor’s vehicle.
In the ensuing chaos, one of the stray bullets hit Pastor Narh in the shoulder. The robbers then made off with the Toyota RAV4, registration number GW 545-22, which contained the pastor’s mobile phones.
Speaking to Adom News, church elder Godfred Viglo provided details about the pastor’s condition. After being shot, Pastor Narh was rushed to Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital for initial treatment. He was subsequently transferred to the Church of Pentecost Hospital in Madina for further medical care.
Mr. Viglo called on Ghanaians and the Ghana Police Service to assist in apprehending the suspects and recovering the stolen vehicle. The incident has left the community in shock, and there is a strong call for justice and increased security measures.
