ANGLOGOLD ASHANTI SCHOOL HOLDS 9TH GRADUATION CEREMONY

AngloGold Ashanti school in Obuasi has achieved another milestone after it organized a colorful graduation ceremony for 694  students at different levels of the school.

The annual event was witnessed by high profile personalities including the Obuasi Municipal Director of Education, personnel from the security services, officials from AngloGold Ashanti and parents.

Under the theme ” Pinnacle of excellence; shaping the future for endless opportunities”, the ceremony was aimed at uplifting the spirit of togetherness and inculcating in the pupils the zeal for quality teaching and learning for a brighter future.

The Executive Director of the school Simon Peter Atta Cato in an interview attributed the school’s acclaimed successes over the years to a fruitful relationship and cooperation between the authorities of the school and the parents who are bent on upholding the lofty standards set by the school.

He said as a school they have a well structured curriculum coupled with the need to maintain consistency as key factors driving the success of the school both in academics and extra curricular activities.

” AngloGold Ashanti has been topping BECE in the Ashanti Region for the past 3 years. This is down to the hardwork of the teachers and the quest to actualize the vision we  set for ourselves every year”, Mr. Cato emphasized.

The school seized the opportunity to award  teachers and students of the school who had excelled in their various fields of endeavor.

The Executive Director lauded the efforts of the teachers of the school which he said contributed to he emerging as the Most outstanding executive director in the Ashanti Region from the Business Executive group.

The Municipal Director of Education George Alfred Koomson commended the effort of management and teachers of the school for upholding the high standards set by the school over the years. 

He again acknowledged the hardwork and resilience of the graduating students stressing that their achievement is a testament of their unwavering pursuit of knowledge and academic excellence.

Mr. Koomson advised the JHS graduates to use ample time they have whiles awaiting their BECE results to research about the courses that they would want to pursue at the senior high school level. This he said would adequately usher them into the next phase of their academic journey.

Dr. Kwadwo Anim, the Executive Director of AngloGold Ashanti Health Foundation who was the chairman of the occasion praised the authorities of the school for their consistency in churning out good BECE results and producing industrious graduates over the years. 

There were congratulatory messages from the PTA of the school and management of AngloGold Ashanti, Obuasi Mine.

In all 694 graduates made up of 203 KG2 pupils transitioning to primary , 244 Grade 6 students moving to JHS 1 and 247 graduating JHS students.
