MAMA LOVE FOUNDATION TO TRAIN PLUMBERS, DRESSMAKERS IN OBUASI FOR FREE

An Obuasi based Non- Governmental Organization Mama Love Foundation has announced that it has started receiving applications from people who want to learn plumbing and dressmaking.

This is part of Mama Love Foundation’s ‘ train the hands’ program which is targeted at training more than 20 people for free . 

The training in plumbing is in collaboration with Farakhan.

According to Dr. Love Konadu, the President of Mama Love Foundation the 1 year duration for either  programs will equip the beneficiaries with the requisite skills to be employable.

“As an NGO based in Obuasi, we are concerned about giving the youth the skills to be employable and to even employ others. Again we want to contribute to diversifying the economy of Obuasi to wean it off the over reliance on AngloGold Ashanti”.

Dr. Konadu elucidated that her outfit which has been empowering women and less privileged over the years, remains resolute in giving opportunities to people to learn trade irrespective of their educational background. 

She  encouraged interested people to pick forms for free at Time FM and the Mama Love Foundation’s office at Bidiem, all in the Obuasi Municipality, to access the program.

The NGO has recently opened application for people who want to learn Sonography and employ them immediately after the training.
